Clean hotel in a nice building so close to restaurants. The rooms with a view. Very good facilities. Unbeatable and magnificent location, walking distance to everywhere. Really nice experience there.

Didn't Sleep a Wink!
In general: My husband and I were coming into town to see the historical reenactment of the battle at Kings Mountain. We typically stay at Super 8 hotels and have enjoyed our stay. However, this was not a good experience. The entire hotel smelled of cigarette smoke, the facilities were very run down but what was worse was that the walls to our room were paper thin and we could hear everything that took place in the room next door including their dog barking the entire night, their foul language, one of the guests throwing up half the night long and their alarm clock going off every 2 minutes! It was ridiculous! There was hardly anyone staying in the hotel, so I would think they could have at least put a one room barrier between a room where a dog was staying. We plan to return to Kings Mountain again in July but we will NOT be staying at this hotel. Location and surroundings: The hotel was close to a couple fast food restaurants and was easy to find off I-85. Service: My husband spoke to the manager the next morning, regarding our awful night. He did nothing to offer us a discount on our room or anything. All he could tell us was that it was a disabled person next door to us that had a service dog. Dining: The breakfast consisted of one waffle maker, 2 cereal choices, juice and coffee. Not amazing, but not awful either. My husband is on a special diet and he could either nothing because all the choices were carb/sugar. Room: Paper thin walls, bed was very uncomfortable, bathroom was pretty run down, water ran brown when the shower was first turned on, then ran clear after that.

The check-in process went smoothly, thanks to a friendly staff. The lobby looked cute. My room had a comfortable bed,. Cleanliness was a priority, but I found some dust in the corners of the room. The breakfast was decent, with a good variety to choose from. The WiFi was spotty at best was nice. I noticed some strange odors in the hallway, a bit off-putting. The hotel had a good location, close to Crowders Mountain. I felt safe , but cleaning staff need to pay more attention to detail in the rooms.

We visited Crowders Mountain State Park and had a fun game at Crowders Mountain Golf Club. The staff was friendly, and the breakfast was decent. Just be aware that cleanliness could be an issue, as I noticed some hair in the shower drain .

mixed feelings about my stay
The bed was comfortable and allowed for a restful night's sleep. The bathroom was spacious, providing more than enough room for my toiletries.
The overall experience left something to be desired.

So my friends and I checked in and the staff was friendly like genuinely nice people and breakfast wasn't too bad either but that doesn't make up for the overall experience I had.
It wasn't exactly cheap but honestly I expected better for the price I paid.
